SAARAS NEWS (A Unit of Playschoolworld Educational Services) is deeply committed to transparency and dignified conduct in all its work and affairs. We are governed and guided by these principles contained in Our Code of Ethics.
Saaras News was was founded with the intention to provide accurate and early information to the people of North Bihar and attached West Bengal. Usually News papers comes a day after with limited capacity to cover any point as we know. Also the big media house who covering all India cannot focus on a targeted area and news. Our aim is to cover that gap.
While doing so we follow these Code of Ethics principals –
(1) Be a neutral news platform that make unbiased information available for every one. Strive for balanced, unbiased, and logical opinions on issues.
(2) Present the most accurate important information available at the time when we are reporting on a particular issue. If we do not have a confirmation on any news we must mention that and if necessary we hold publishing the news. Give accurate information instead of providing lucrative news. We will wait before sharing if enough information is not available and not to speculate.
(3) Credit source wherever needed or applicable. We must give due respect to the source. Stealing content in any form is unacceptable and prohibited.
(4) Maintain a clear distinction between business interests and editorial decision-making. In no way can the business interest take over editorial decision-making.
(5) Include diverse voices in the story to make it fair and balanced.
(6) Issue public apology in case of error and rectify the error.
(7) Cleary mention that – if a story is not from editorial and is an advertisement/advertorial.
(8) Remain strong and resolute in case of pressure from people in power. Stand with the editorial in case of any legal dispute and in case of harassment. In any case we cannot alter news based on request or impact from any powerful people. We’ll stay strong to publish correct information.
